The State Health Department is requiring all municipalities in the state to verify the pipe materials used on the customer and PAWSD side of the water meter for a select group of homes. If you receive a survey, please complete and return using the following methods (also listed on the survey):

Pagosa Area Water requests your help in completing this important survey to document the material of your water service line from the water meter to just outside of your house or business. The results may help to improve the quality of water that you rely on every day. Submitting can assist PAWSD in determining the type of service line material used from the water meter to your home. Without a completed survey or if you mark material "unknown" on your survey, PAWSD may be required by the state to excavate your service line from the meter pit out 36" on the customer side to verify the material used.
