TOILET REBATE PROGRAM
2010 Toilet Rebate Program Application
PAWSD initiated its first toilet rebate program in the summer of 2004. The goal of the program is to reduce water use within the District by encouraging the replacement of high-volume toilets that use more than 1.6 gallons per flush (gpf).
Since 2004, there have been a total of 297 toilet rebates issued.
In 2009, the average toilet replaced was 4.4 gallons per flush, with 18,646 gallons of water saved on average per participating household.
From 2004-2009, the cumulative total water savings for the PAWSD and its customers who participated in the toilet rebate program is estimated at 14,936,000 gallons (45.84 Acre-Feet). This translates to an avoided treatment cost savings to the District of over $175,000.

CLOTHES WASHER REBATE PROGRAM
2010 Washer Rebate Program Application
PAWSD initiated its first high-efficiency clothes washer rebate program in 2007. The goal of the program is to reduce water use within the District by encouraging the replacement of high-volume clothes washers that typically use more than 50 gallons per load (gpl).
Since 2007, there have been a total of 105 rebates issued.
In 2009, the average washing machine replaced was 42 gallons per load, with 6,077 gallons of water saved on average per participating household.
From 2007-2009, cumulative total water savings for the PAWSD its customers who participated in the washing machine rebate program is estimated at 1,282,000 gallons (4 Acre-Feet). This translates to an avoided treatment cost savings to the District of over $15,000.
