PAWSD is planning to build a biosolids beneficial use facility that will dry sludge in a greenhouse using the power of the sun. This sludge, the by-product of waste treatment, is currently being disposed of in the County's landfill. After the process is successfully underway, the final product will be made available to customers as a safe and economical alternative to chemical fertilizers.
